The Dog days of Summer, Autumn Crafts, New Creations, Craft Show Schdule

The Dog Days of Summer are finally yielding to cooler days and nights, it's time to start adding my Autumn items into my shop. Early Autumn items have done pretty well so far in August. My sales this month have certainly been helped from buyers preparing for the upcoming Fall season.

I'll be adding several new items in the coming weeks, including the above picture, all with a Fall/Halloween theme. The EtsyNJ team's ad in the October "WeirdNJ" magazine will be hitting the stands in the next few weeks (we were given a grant from Etsy to place this ad) and I really need my shop to get back to 35-40 listings. I just feel my shop is full, when I'm in this listing range and with the Fall/Autumn Craft Show season just around the corner, the quicker I can build up inventory, the more comfortable I'll feel.

Speaking of Craft Shows, here is the list of shows I'm either accepted for or have applications pending.

October 25th- The Handmade Faire in Medford NJ (see banner to the right)

This is the 2nd Handmade Faire craft show, the first held in the fall. The Spring show was one of the best I've ever attended and I'm happy to be a vendor for this show. If you're anywhere near the Medford area, this is a show you'll want to browse!

October 26th- Lacey Township HS, Forked River, NJ

A very good Fall show. Over 150 tables and for the first time, this is a Handmade Item or Personalized Gift Set show only. No mass-produced vendors this time around! Application pending.

November 8th- Monsignor Donovan HS, Toms River, NJ

Application pending for this well attended show. This is the first time I've applied for this show, hopefully I'll be accepted.

November 15th- Southern Regional HS, Manahawkin, NJ

Application pending. I did this show last fall and again this past spring. The fall show is supported well by the community. Another good local fall/holiday show.

I will most likely have a table/tent at one of the following shows Sept 27 in Stafford on Rt 9 or the following weekend in Eagleswood at their Fall show (more info to come)

I will most likely be back in Lacey the weekend of Thanksgiving at the same location as the CrabFest show I did earlier this month (Methodist Church, Lacey Rd Forked River)

and my December plans will be local... staying in Little Egg Harbor to do the Friday Night Secret Santa Show in the George Mitchell School (Dec 12th) and following up with a show at the Tuckerton Seaport on the 13th of Dec.

More shows will likely be added and I'll update shows as I become accepted.

Enjoy the last few days of summer!

'til next time...
